Calandre & Nick, A Wedding at The Royal Exchange

Calandre is a girl after my own heart. A girl who likes spreadsheets. And military precision when it comes to organisation. Nick is the kind of man who appreciates this but has a slightly more laid back approach to life. Combine these forces and you end up with a couple who are invincible. And a wedding day that is difficult to describe in words … but I’ll try! From 9am rugby in Battersea Park; brunch with salmon and champagne; make-up and a Vera Wang dress in Fulham; tea and breakfast with handmade ties in Chelsea; a betting shop on the way to St. Augustine’s church in South Kensington; a jazz band and drinks at The Royal Exchange in the city followed by an immense dinner from Last Supper, cheese cake and dancing; to being whisked away in a cab at midnight as a married couple – it had it all.

The Royal Exchange stole a little piece of my heart – what an incredible venue. From the stunning architecture to the amazing light and the wonderful people who work there, I can’t think of a better place to celebrate in style. A big thanks goes to Marco, who is usually too busy with his own business to photograph with me on weekends. Something between”incredible venue in the city of London” and “I’ll let you use one of these fab lenses” did convince him and I couldn’t have been happier to have him on my team as it makes a big difference to be able to work with someone who knows you this well. Instead of attempting to describe just how fantastic it all was I’d rather show you a whole lot of photos. What I do want to mention however is just how welcome both Marco and I felt throughout the whole day by Calandre and Nick’s families and friends. You best have a look yourself:

Wow, what an amazing day! You’ve captured it beautifully. The boys in the phone box made me laugh out loud and so nice to see a ‘going away’ shot at the end. Pure class throughout.
