There is a reason why people love the mountains. As I tilt my face up towards an endless blue sky dotted with feathery clouds I realise why – the light. I mean look at it. It’s bright but soft, illuminating the lush green grass, grey rocks, brown furry cows and the smiling couple in love ever so softly. And the air. Fresh and crisp, carrying the sound of laughing guests, ringing church bells, clinking beer glasses and a proper oompa oompa band from the wooden ski hut far over the next mountain top.
Ellen is from Bavaria and Nathan from San Diego. They live in Berlin but on this sunny Saturday they invited their friends and families from all over the world to come and celebrate them getting married up on a mountain in Bavaria. There was a tiny church and a massive view. In short it was incredible.
