The first time I met Tom it was in a dark, cold forest and she looked like a woodland elf amongst golden ferns. The day Tom married Ryan she looked like a magical nymph in between green ferns suspended from helium balloons and golden candlelight twinkling. When she first told me they were planning a Spring wedding at Aynhoe Park I remember feeling a mix of all the emotions – Aynhoe Park! That’s amazing. The perfect place for you. But won’t it be too dark? And cold?
But this is Tom. And Ryan. Put these two together and all the rain and freezing cold outside doesn’t matter, because on the inside you have warmth and light. And gold and moss and ferns. From the second I opened their invitation (I’m still cleaning up golden glitter by the way) to the moment I stepped out of the party and back into the cold dark night on my way home, this was simply a wholehearted celebration of love. You’re good together, guys. Full of light and warmth and gold and moss.
Tom’s incredible dress was bespoke by Hermione de Paula, her hair and make-up by the wonderful Jodie Hazlewood, the lush flowers were from Fairynuff Flowers and the stationary by Tom herself. A big thank you also to Kate for assisting and shooting with me on the day.
