JOYCE + CONWAY // SANTA CRUZ

The first thing you see when you come up the trail leading towards the house at Sand Rock Farm is the lush green of ferns. It smells of pine needles and despite the gloomy forecasts of the last week the sun is finding its way through the hazy morning fog. Joyce and Conway wanted a place close to home that felt like home, and Sand Rock Farm does exactly that.

In the months leading up to their wedding Joyce would give me the impression that she didn’t really know what she was doing when it came to putting this whole event together. They just wanted to get married, somewhere nice, with everyone there. And that’s all that matters. And that’s also exactly what they did. With the added bonus of it being a pretty wonderful day from breakfast with everyone in the house to s’mores over the fire at night.

Sometimes a group of people who didn’t know you a day earlier will treat you as part of their family regardless. And Joyce and Conway’s families are those kind of people. Thank you for making the Anns feel so welcome.
