After years of shooting weddings it still takes me by surprise how different each one of them is. It shouldn’t be a surprise considering how personal an event like a wedding is. Sometimes there is a wedding that is so different, so personal, that it not only surprises me but it actually makes me cry. Becca and Alexander’s wedding made me cry, the very best kind of cry. And clearly I am not afraid to say so.

Words won’t be able to convey the magic that these two and their blindingly beautiful families and friends came up with on a warm, windy, sunny summer day in Mystic, Connecticut. Instead just look at these pictures and tell me it’s not amazing.

Shot on Kodak Portra 400 and Tri-x, developed and scanned by Richard Photo Lab. Shout out to Chris for carrying my bag, mopping my brow, making me laugh when I was busy crying and feeding me Impossible whopper on our way home.
